Superfood Smoothie with almond butter and blueberries

I’ve named this a superfood smoothie simply because it contains so many foods that are all extremely good for you. The banana provide you with some good carbs, fiber and lots of potassium, the blueberries add more fiber, tons of antioxidants as well as a beautiful color. You’ll get a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals such as iron and vitamin K and A from the spinach. Chia seeds provide a decent amount of omega 3, almond butter gives you some healthy fats to keep your brain happy and blood sugar levels stable, while the cacao is an excellent source of magnesium and zinc. If you choose to add in some spirulina this algae is perhaps especially known to contain lots of B vitamins. Have this smoothie for breakfast and your body will be forever grateful. Much love xx


1 banana

1 cup frozen blueberries

a few handfuls baby spinach

1 cup almond milk (preferably activated)

1 tbsp almond butter

1-2 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp raw cacao

1/2 tsp spirulina (optional)

Make it more filling: add a handful of oats

Simply add all ingredients to a blender and blend! Top with more almond butter, berries, nuts or whatever else you may fancy.
